Websites, web applications, documents and also the software used at Bielefeld University must be accessible. On the pages of the Central Accessibility Services you will find tips, guides, further training and also the possibility to have content tested for accessibiity.
Accessibility means accessibility for all. People with and without disabilities should be able to use and understand pages, documents and software in an accessible way. In order to remove any barriers to accessibility or to avoid them from the start when developing a new project, the ZAB has a wide range of resources for University members and you can also request an accessibility test of your web-content via a standardised form. The ZAB will then test your webpages, documents or software for accessibility and will provide you with feedback with any issues flagged up based on structured criteria, including tests carried out for behaviour in different screen readers. The feedback on accessibility issues flagged up by the ZAB must be implemented by the content creator, as there is a clear legal obligation to do so.
